7th GRADE MEDIEVAL TIMES TRIP
•  Event – Spring Semester
•  Sponsor – 7th Social Science Department
•  Description: The seventh grade class takes a full day to visit Medieval Times in Buena Park, CA. This together time focuses on learning about this historical era in an immersive environment, while becoming better acquainted with their classmates.
•  Objective: to learn about this specific period in history and how it affects the broader context of human history.
 
 
8th GRADE ASTRO CAMP
•  Event – Fall Semester
•  Sponsor – 8th Grade Class Advisor
•  Description: The eighth grade class spends two nights and three days at Astro Camp, typically in the fall. This is a hands-on physical science program located in the San Jacinto Mountains.
•  Objective: to expand the students' knowledge of astronomy and space exploration.
 
 
KNOTT'S BERRY FARM PHYSICS TRIP   Grade 8
•  Event – Spring Semester
•  Description: Annual day trip to Knotts Berry Farm applying physics principles and knowledge to practical and fun applications.
•  Objective: A working knowledge of science in the real world life applications.
  
 
CHRISTMAS PARTY   Grades 7-8
•  Event – Fall Semester
•  Sponsor – Class Councils
•  Description: Event in December designed for students in grades six though eighth. The event includes dinner, activities that encourage group participation, Christmas cookie decorating, games and more. Tickets are sold in advance.
 
 
BIG THING IN THE SPRING  Grades 7-8
•  Event – Spring Semester
•  Sponsor – Class Councils
•  Description: A challenging themed activity expressly for sixth, seventh and eighth grade students that occurs in April or May. The three class councils plan and execute the event, which includes dinner, games, competitions, prizes, dance instructions and dancing. Tickets are sold prior to the event.
•  Objective: to strengthen relationships and encourage social interaction amongst junior high students in a casually dressy atmosphere.
