Mr. Howard Yamaguchi 
 
Howard is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he earned his undergraduate and law degrees.  He is employed by The Salvation Army providing legal and compliance oversight in the western U.S.  Howard and his wife Linda are parents of Brethren graduates Andrew and Ryan.  They reside in Long Beach and are members of Bethel Grace Baptist Church in Bellflower.
 

Mrs. Kristi Sahlin 
 
She and her husband of 20 years, Dale, currently have two children who attend Brethren; a 7th grade student (Kinsley) and a 10th grade student (Brady). Together they are small business owners in the Orange County area. The Sahlin Family resides in Newport Beach and attends Mariners Church in Irvine. Kristi is a dedicated volunteer at Brethren and at Mariners Church.
 
 
Mr. Lee Wilhite
 
Lee Wilhite serves as Biola University’s Vice President of University Communications and Marketing. In his role, he has chief responsibility for the university’s brand, creative, advertising, market research, public and media relations and university events. Prior to joining Biola he served as Executive Vice President and owner at Masterworks, the nation’s largest marketing agency exclusively serving Christian nonprofit ministries. Lee is a firm believer in Christian education having graduated from Northwest Christian University and now serving at Biola University. He and his wife, Leeta, are Brethren parents of three children who have graduated or are currently enrolled – Olivia, Annelise and Cameron. The Wilhites attend Compass Bible Church in Huntington Beach where Lee also serves in a leadership role.
 
Dr. John Moran, BC Superintendent 
 
Dr. Moran is a transformational education and business leader, who has created sustainable change and excellence in schools, colleges and corporations in the US and China for almost 30 years. He holds a Masters of Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Doctorate of K12 Urban Education & Higher Ed. Leadership from the University of Southern California. His dissertation is titled African-American Parent Perspectives on Special Education. He has been the principal of three schools and the superintendent of three school systems. He has taught at the college level for nine years and has held the position of Associate Dean. He was the Major Account Director for an international Human Capital Management company. He is a Licensed Minister, and he is a certified life coach.
 
Mr. Steve Stong 
 

In 1975, Steve received his BA in Economics from Westmont College. He then went on to Harvard Business School and in 1977 he earned his MBA. Since 1986 he has worked as the CEO of Steven Label. Steve serves on a number of boards for higher education, including: Westmont College Board of Trustees (1997 to present), Cal Berkeley Parents Board (2015 to present), and Biola Board of Trustees (1992-1997). Steve and his wife, Robyn, have three children, who are all BCHS grads (classes of '08, '10, '14), and remain strong supporters of BC.

They will be zealous advocates for the school, developing and sustaining relationships with its benefactors, graduates and friends, and will give generously of their talents and treasures. The Board will prayerfully seek God’s will and wisdom in all matters concerning Brethren Christian. The Board will provide leadership and exercise sound judgment in matters of policy, and be a good steward of school resources.
